Want to try with no obligation?
If you just want to experience bowls without any obligation just email
enquiries@charlburybowls.co.uk
and we can arrange for you to visit the club. You can come on up to six occasions before you decide if you want to take up the sport. If you just want a look, then come along any Tuesday evening about 6.30pm and make yourself known to a committee member - if in doubt, go to the bar and ask!
Membership Fees
Social Members
We value all our social members who contribute to the atmosphere of the club as spectators at matches, competitions events. We hope that they gain from the friendly and intimate nature of the club which is in a secluded setting. What better than sitting at one of our tables in mid summer and watching a game, drink in hand, and pied wagtails bobbing about on the green!
But we also encourage all our social members to do more if they wish. We are always looking for help, and can participate in one of a number of activities to help our CASC status. Social members are deemed ‘participating’ in the sport if they undertake activities like assisting with managing the sporting and club facilities, including green maintenance, become first-aid trained, coach, mark in singles events, assist with maintaining or putting out equipment for matches or tournaments, etc.
Membership fees are set at the spring meeting of club members annually. The fees for 2018 are as follows (n.b. new playing members

Code of Conduct for Members
Our Code of Conduct ensures all members, visitors, opponents and guests are treated with respect at all times. It can be read
here Guests
Guests are always welcome at the club, but must be signed in by a member. Each member can bring up to three guests at any one time – either as a spectator, at a social event, or to try out playing on the green or indoors. However, a guest can only be signed in six times in any one year - if they wish to come more often they need to join as a social member.
