Charlbury Bowls Club welcomes children and young people of all abilities to enjoy bowls in a friendly, supportive and family-focused environment.
No experience is needed beginners are very welcome. Juniors can play socially for fun or progress into competitive pathways at a pace that suits them. We offer opportunities in both lawn bowls and short mat bowls.

Pathways & Opportunities
Juniors can:
- Play socially or competitively
- Progress from club → county → national level
- Receive support to enter competitions when ready
Competition is always optional, enjoyment and development come first.

Short mat bowls is a key strength of our junior programme:
- Played indoors ideal for learning and winter play
- Excellent skill-building pathway
- Links to county and national short mat opportunities
- Potential progression into England Under 21 Academy
